Legacy Energy Consulting was founded in 2020 by propane industry veteran Chad Pendill. After more than three decades working throughout the propane industry and most recently directing acquisition efforts for one of the nation's largest propane companies, Chad recognized a growing need for independent propane marketers to have an experienced advocate on their side. Business owners facing important decisions often need more than industry knowledge. They need someone who understands the process, knows what to expect throughout the journey, and remains focused on protecting the interests of the owner, employees, customers, and the legacy they’ve built.

That vision became the foundation of Legacy Energy Consulting.

Chad Pendill

Founder & President

Chad began his career in the propane industry in 1991 and brings more than 34 years of experience spanning operations, sales, acquisitions, valuations, strategic planning, and business sales. Before founding Legacy Energy Consulting, Chad directed acquisition efforts for one of the nation's largest propane companies, giving him a unique perspective on both sides of the transaction process. He maintains long-standing relationships with many of the industry's leading national, regional, and local buyers, providing valuable insight and opportunities for propane business owners exploring future options. 


Today, Chad helps propane business owners understand their options, evaluate opportunities, and navigate important decisions with confidence. His approach is built on honest communication, trusted relationships, and helping owners protect what they've worked so hard to build.

Tyler Pendill

Director of Sales & Marketing

Tyler joined Legacy Energy Consulting after graduating from the University of Utah, where he earned a degree in Kinesiology and competed as a member of the university's hockey team.


As Director of Sales & Marketing, Tyler oversees business development initiatives, marketing efforts, and the preparation of business sale materials. He plays a key role in helping clients present their businesses professionally and connect with qualified opportunities.

Director of Business Development

Dustin brings more than 15 years of hands-on propane industry experience, including building and operating a successful retail propane business from the ground up. His firsthand understanding of the challenges propane business owners face allows him to provide practical insight and guidance to clients exploring growth opportunities, strategic planning, and future business transitions.
